Conductor and clarinetist

Over 20 years conducting orchestras, bands and choirs in Spain, Austria, and Germany. Currently, I am working in Berlin as chief conductor of the orchestra Sinfonietta92, the Berlin-Brandenburg Sinfonie Orchester, the Friedenau Chamber Ensemble, and the Werkstatt Utopia. In the last four years, I have conducted concerts with the Berliner Symphoniker, the Berlin Sibelius Orchestra, and the Brandenburg Staatorchester Frankfurt.

“Mariano Domingo is a wonderful conductor and musician, who works with his musicians in a highly professional and disciplined manner and conducts the rehearsals in a motivating way with warmth and empathy.”

Solo-Klarinettist, Staatsoper Berlin

Werkstatt Utopia

Utopia is a cultural exchange project that brings together musicians living with disabilities. The project explores new experiences within orchestral music. As a manager and conductor, I work with diverse forms of musical interaction: symphonies, chamber music and jazz. Coordinated by KulturLeben Berlin and sponsored by AktionMensch, Utopia promotes inclusion and diversity through music experiences.

“Music is about people. For me, it works as an exchange, a way of communication within the musicians in the orchestra. The exchange creates a music message for the audience. Those who listen to music are receiving something from each of the musicians. We all make this happen.”
